(1) In twin-screw extruders, the material is transported on the principle of positive displacement, and no back pressure is generated. Therefore, compared with the single-screw extruder, the material can be easily added.

(2) The residence time of the material in the twin-screw extruder is short. It is suitable for materials that decompose or solidify when the residence time is long.

(3) The material is sheared and mixed vertically and horizontally by a twin-screw extruder, which has excellent mixing and plasticizing effects.

(4) Twin-screw extruder has excellent exhaust and self-cleaning functions.

(5) The flow rate of the twin-screw extruder is not sensitive to the die pressure, and it is effective for extruding large-size and large-area products. The single screw extruder flow rate is sensitive to die pressure.

(6) Since the twin screw extruder has a smaller screw length and diameter than a single screw extruder, the twin screw extruder consumes less power than a single screw extruder.
